No Limits is the brand we have adopted to promote the Pennine Lancashire Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI). LEGI is a central government funded scheme aimed at promoting enterprise in deprived communities.
No Limits represents a unique public, private and community sector partnership that came together to successfully bid for funding. We’re made up of the four Borough Councils: Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Pendle and Hyndburn; Lancashire County Council; Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, and Burnley Football Clubs; Consortium of Local Enterprise Agencies; Community and Business Partners Ltd; Elevate; East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce; and representatives from the private sector.
We were among just 10 bids in England to be successful under the second round of funding, and the Government has granted us £23.4m over three years to help people start a business and to support local businesses that want to develop and grow. This is the biggest LEGI award in the country, making it a fantastic opportunity for over 150,000 residents located in communities in Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn and Pendle.
