£700,000 investment for Pennine Lancashire businesses

Businesses in Pennine Lancashire will benefit from over £700,000 of grants this year to help them grow and develop.
Since the start of April, Finance4Growth, part of No Limits, have approved £105,328 of grants to businesses in Pennine Lancashire. The programme offers grant funding to assist the growth and development of established businesses in the local area. Businesses can claim up to a maximum of £40,000 or 50% of eligible costs, whichever is the lower.
Heatmiser UK in Blackburn, and GB Integrated Systems, Kings Rental and Harry Garlick in Pendle have been assisted to move to new premises. Blackburn-based Sports Global was given a grant towards hardware, while Nelson specialist manufacturing firm Graham Engineering have been offered money to support their purchase of new machinery.
The support will help to safeguard 29 jobs immediately and create 24 jobs in the near future.

This will bring Finance4Growth’s total investment in Pennine Lancashire to over £2million since the project began in 2007 with additional private sector investment of £3.5 million being encouraged on top of this.
That support has already created 600 jobs and safeguarded hundreds more. Almost 800 companies have benefitted from the scheme.
