A marketing expert is living life to the full thanks to invaluable help, advice and a grant from The No Limits Get Set programme.
Jane Kilburn used her passion to help others succeed in their own business by setting up her own marketing and design company, Fresh and Simple Ltd, and she is reaping the rewards.
She said: “I’ve worked in the industry for over fifteen years and when I was made redundant last year I decided that it was the perfect opportunity to start my own business.
“Five months down the line, business is doing really well, I have more time for myself and have a better work-life balance and most importantly, I love what I’m doing,” she added.
The marketing consultant approached Pendle Enterprise Trust in July where she liaised with a No Limits representative to see what type of support and funding was available.
“The support I received was fantastic and it was great knowing that all the help I needed was under one roof.
“I needed assistance with the financial aspect of a business and my advisor, Fergus Brown, helped me to understand everything I needed to know about VAT and Inland Revenue requirements,” she said.
Fresh and Simple Ltd offers a complete range of marketing and design services to help small businesses grow, including initial marketing strategies, branding, promotional products and creative design.
The Get Set team also pointed Jane in the right direction when finding an office space, as Fresh and Simple Ltd is now based at Pendle Enterprise Haven.
