Awards for Pennine Lancashire businesses

Eight businesses from Pennine Lancashire have proved there are No Limits to their success after winning awards.
The No Limits Celebrating Success awards, presented at Ewood Park’s Red Rose Suite, were held to showcase the achievements of the No Limits programme and mark No Limits’ 1000th business start, Brierfield-based florist Bunches.
The programme launched in 2007 and has so far assisted 2750 new and existing businesses with a range of advice, training and grants.
The programme has created almost 2500 jobs in Pennine Lancashire and safeguarded 1500 more.
The awards were held to recognise companies assisted by No Limits that are showing great growth and potential.
Dennis Mendoros, the Chair of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire presented the awards to businesses. He said:
“I sincerely believe that these are the most important business awards. Start ups are the oxygen feeding our economic growth.
“This is an opportunity to recognise success. It’s great to see 1200 businesses starting up in a relatively short space of time, especially in a recession.”
