A new Blackburn business has been launched thanks to the help of No Limits.

Paul Riley founded Uniplay It’s Educational Ltd in October 2009 after deciding he wanted to strike out on his own and make a name for himself in the business world.

Paul had previous knowledge of working in the educational sector, but decided to build on the skills that he had acquired and build his own business.

Uniplay designs, manufactures and installs all sorts of outdoor play equipment. The aim is to encourage children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development.

Although Paul wanted to start a company, he was unsure of the process and that’s where No Limits came in.

He said: “My friend gave me the number of No Limits, who were great at giving me advice on the process. I attended some of the workshops that they offer, such as book keeping and marketing which were really useful.

“I was also introduced to suppliers and professionals throughout the North West, one of whom is now my business partner. I was initially working from home, however Steve owned a set of business units in Blackburn and so I was able to move the business there.

Paul is enjoying his new venture, especially as business is booming.

He said: “I am learning new skills on a daily basis. At the moment we are developing some new packages to send out to schools, which is helping to develop our business portfolio.”
