100 new businesses Get Set to prove there are No Limits
Monday 12th November
Council bosses were in celebratory mood as it was announced that more than 100 new businesses have been formed across Pennine Lancashire with the help of the No Limits Get Set programme in just seven months.
The milestone was marked with a chance for some of the businesses to mingle with council leaders and chief executives to discuss their ventures.
A diverse range of businesses are supported through No Limits Get Set with advice, finance, training workshops and on-going support through the early stages of trading.
No Limits secured £23m from the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative to regenerate the economy through enterprise, and Get Set is one of its key programmes for new businesses.
Councillor Colin Rigby, leader of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council said: "No Limits will make a significant impact throughout Blackburn and Darwen over the coming years. For so many new ventures to have been supported through their difficult early stages by the No Limits Get Set programme means our communities have an opportunity to flourish."
Steve Hoyle, director of No Limits for Pennine Lancashire, said: "No Limits is proving a tremendous success.
"With Get Set, we have helped launch more than 100 businesses since April and the signs are good that we’ll break through 400 in the first year of No Limits.
"These businesses and jobs are being created in the hearts of our communities and are laying foundations for the future prosperity of Pennine Lancashire."
No Limits is an initiative to support new and existing businesses throughout Pennine Lancashire with advice, finance, accommodation and a whole range of other support.
