Leading the cheers for No Limits!

Wednesday 28th November

Cheerleading coach Catherine Drain has No Limits to her ambitions.

Catherine, 18, trains the youngsters who entertain the crowds at Turf Moor before kick-off on match days.

She is backing the No Limits campaign which is an initiative to help support new and existing businesses throughout Pennine Lancashire with advice, finance, accommodation and a whole range of other support to help those considering or pursuing self-employment.

It is supported by the three professional football clubs and the local authorities of Pennine Lancashire including Burnley FC and Burnley Borough Council.

No Limits secured £23m from the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative to regenerate the economy through enterprise, and spread its message at Burnley by sponsoring their 125th anniversary game against Stoke.

Leaflets featuring the face of fans' favourite Ade Akinbiyi were distributed by No Limits and Bertie Bee, players and cheerleader officials were donned in No Limits clothing.

Catherine, of Arnold Close, Burnley, is studying at Burnley College. She said: "I'm hoping to become a PE teacher initially, but my real ambition is to set up my own business to work as an independent fitness advisor."

Barry Kilby, Burnley FC Chairman, said: "As a football club, we are delighted to support and be a part of No Limits.

"Burnley FC will play a significant role in helping the economic regeneration of the area when we open the doors to our Enterprise Haven, which will become home to some of our brightest new businesses.

Coun Martin Smith, Burnley Borough Council's Lead Member for Regeneration, said: "We're delighted at Burnley FC's involvement in No Limits and hope that the people and businesses of Burnley take full advantage of this exciting opportunity."
