Enterprising Women

Women of all ages gathered at the Dunkenhalgh to see a showcase of 28 female owned businesses, get advice on how to discover their enterprising side and do what women do best; socialise and share experiences.
The women were inspired by passionate motivational speaker, Jane Kenyon of Well Heeled Divas, and entertained by a fashion show put on by Accrington businesses Extreme ladies wear, Barbara Kays, Extreme beauty and Designer Team for Hair.
Event organiser and Women Mean Business project manager, Pat Wallis, said: “The event was a tremendous success, we saw over 150 women on the day.
“Every year on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements and that is what we have done for the ladies of Pennine Lancashire.”
