Groomed for success
Tuesday 9th February
‘Mucky pups’ in Burnley are cleaning up, thanks to a new business, set up with the help of No Limits.
Cheryl Etherington founded Mucky Pups after she decided she wanted to combine her love of animals with the great prospects of running her own business.
She said: “I had been a dog walker for about three years, whilst also working with a behaviourist and as a vet’ receptionist.
“I then qualified as a groomer and so decided I wanted to set up a business where I could work with animals and work in a more structured role while generating a steady income.”
Mucky Pups opened its doors on Hall Street in May 2009 and provides dog grooming and as many dog accessories you can think of, including collars and beds.
Although Cheryl had the funds to set up , she enlisted the help of No Limits and Burnley Enterprise.
She said: “No Limits were great helping me with both advice and grants. This helped me buy uniforms, equipment and the sign for the premises.
“My adviser is really useful and supportive. Any questions I had he never failed to answer. Along with No Limits they continue to provide me with on going support.”
You could even say No Limits has been grooming Cheryl for success…!
