The support I have received has been invaluable, No Limits has given me confidence and guidance, and I have been able to make my dream shop a reality!

A Pendle business woman has turned up the heat on her ceramics business with a revamped shop in the heart of Colne.

Based on North Valley Road, Sharon Jackson has ploughed her business grants - which she acquired through the No Limits Finance for Growth initiative - into plush new premises for her ceramics business.

The hard-working enthusiast, also received crucial advice and grant support when starting up in business, as well as recently joining other local female entrepreneaurs in a specialist support network, all on offer through No Limits.

Recognising that the residents of Pennine Lancashire like to buy quality products from local businesses, Sharon was inspired to set up Harp Ceramics, offering a selection of quality porcelain, ceramic and stone tiles to consumer and trade markets.

Sharon said: "I had the end goal in my head of how I wanted the shop to be and a budget set aside but what I needed was help piecing everything together."

This is when Sharon enlisted the help of No Limits. "When I approached No Limits I hadn't quite realised how much help was available" she added.

Finance for Growth offers support for business development and expansion, including grants to improve property and technology, as well as access to experts and workshops in specialist areas.

Victoria Lamonby from No Limits Finance for Growth said: "It is great to be able to support businesses with such potential. Through the No Limits partnership we're able to tailor support to fit a client's needs, which in this case included business advice, grant support and networking opportunities."

Sharon received a grant from Finance for Growth, processed by Pendle Borough Council, a partner in No Limits, which allowed her to refurbish the property into a cutting edge shop and showroom.

Councillor Allan Buck, Mayor of Pendle, recently opened the premises. He said: "The products are very attractive and will appeal to a wide market and the shop is in a prime location which will attract lots of trade."

Sharon added: "The support I have received has been invaluable, they gave me confidence and guidance, and with their help I have been able to make my dream shop a reality!"
