No Limits to Blackburn business’ solid foundations
Wednesday 6th August
Business is going from strength to strength for a Blackburn based building supplier thanks to advice and funding from No Limits Constructing The Future (CTF).
Set up by business partners Tahir Satia and Yasin Patel, Kingston Building Supplies launched 8 months ago.
The pair started the company after identifying a niche in the local market to offer competitive prices and services, supplying and distributing building materials locally and nationally.
They turned to No Limits Constructing The Future for business advice and support but found they got so much more than they expected.
Tahir said: "Our No Limits CTF business adviser Purves Ali was in touch with us regularly and pointed out that we should focus on promoting the business, something which we had overlooked with concentrating on the day to day running of the business."
No Limits CTF helped Kingston access a grant which has helped with a marketing campaign, as well as introducing them to networks that can benefit them.
Tahir added: "Through events held by CTF we have made some invaluable contacts and have been given the opportunity to present our company to key builders and developers in the area."
No Limits CTF Business adviser, Purves Ali, said: "Tahir and Yasin have established a successful business in a market which is growing here in Pennine Lancashire.
"We have introduced them to our ethnic minority business networking group which aims to encourage companies to work together, in the hopes of gaining bigger contracts.
"Kingston have also attended our ‘meet the developer' events giving them the opportunity to link up with companies starting construction projects which they may be able to get involved with."
The No Limits initiative has secured a three year funding allocation, of which £440,000 will be allocated to CTF to support growth in new and existing construction businesses, contributing to Elevate's overall aim to rejuvenate Pennine Lancashire's housing market.
Yasin added: "CTF is a great initiative to help businesses such as ours. We are keen to continue working with them in the future."
