No Limits Helps Support the Clarets
Tuesday 11th December
Fans of the Clarets were at least kept warm during their defeat to Preston this weekend by scarves from No Limits.
The limited edition scarves celebrate the imminent launch of the new Enterprise Haven based at Turf Moor.
The club is a partner, alongside Burnley Borough Council, in the No Limits programme, a £23m project to regenerate the Pennine Lancashire economy through supporting new and growing businesses.
The programme provides advice, finance, accommodation and all round support to those considering self-employment as well as existing start up companies - with the long term aim of creating new businesses in some of Pennine Lancashire's most deprived areas.
The Burnley Enterprise Haven at Turf Moor is set to open its doors in January 2008 to ambitious young businesses seeking to grow in a supported environment. The Haven will feature managed office spaces and access to business mentors.
Louise Spencer, head of the Community Sports Trust at Turf Moor, will manage the Enterprise Haven as part of her community role at the club.
She said: "No Limits and the Enterprise Haven are here to support our communities through business growth.
"We want to warm our communities to the idea of self-employment and business, and what better way to do so than to provide scarves so they can support their team as well!"
No Limits is supported by the local authorities of Pennine Lancashire, including Burnley Borough Council, and by the area's three professional football clubs.
Coun Martin Smith, Burnley Borough Council's Executive member for Regeneration said: "No Limits is an exciting programme, and the Enterprise Haven will play a vital role in growing and supporting new businesses, as well as providing a new community resource."
