Success stories

"I wanted to be able to run a company the way that I wanted to and put the knowledge that I had gained over the years to good use."

Press brake should accelerate Nelson company’s growth
Thursday 29th July
A Nelson based engineering firm is building success, with support from the No Limits Finance4Growth programme.
Fitzpatricks UK Ltd is an established engineering company that was first established by Mark Fitzpatrick in January 2002. The firm is a precision fabrication specialist offering its customers unrivalled support in the design and manufacture of steel and stainless steel fabrications.
The company has contracts with several major companies. Fitzpatrick’s success meant that they wanted a new press brake, a machine which folds metal to the precise specifications required by some of their high tech customers. And they turned to No Limits Finance4Growth for support.
Finance4Growth offers grant funding to assist the growth and development of established businesses in the local area. Businesses could claim up to a maximum of £40,000 or 50% of eligible costs, whichever is the lower.
Company founder Mark Fitzpatrick said: “The grant was a lot of help. I’d been thinking about buying this machine for four years. It’s a significant investment, so without the grant we’d still be toying with the idea.
“Knowing we have this machine will give buyers confidence in what we can do and help win orders.”
Julie Rogan, Pendle case officer at No Limits Finance4Growth said: “Fitzpatrick’s is a Pennine Lancashire success, and a great example of a precision engineering company with a national reputation. This grant will support their success and their expansion and lead to more jobs for local people.”
