Ribbon cut on flagship Burnley business venue

Wednesday 6th August

Turf Moor Enterprise Haven has officially opened its doors to the community by holding a grand ceremony, with the first two tenants cutting the ribbon.

The Haven is a flagship project, one of five planned across Pennine Lancashire over the next three years as part of the No Limits initiative.  No Limits aims to boost the local economy and rejuvenate deprived communities by encouraging and promoting enterprise.

The official opening was the perfect welcome for the first residents of two of the state-of-the-art offices which have been occupied by companies, Inspire to Independence and the Lancashire Learning Consortium.

Start up businesses, No Limits partners, local authorities, dignitaries and Burnley FC Chairman and local entrepreneur Barry Kilby made up the audience of 100 that attended the ceremony.

Burnley FC Chairman, Barry Kilby, said: "Through the Haven, the club can play a significant role in helping the economic regeneration of the area.

"Turf Moor Enterprise Haven will become home to some of the regions brightest new businesses and we are delighted to support and be part of No Limits."

What was a void in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand at Burnley FC is now an Enterprise Haven which includes 14 'ready-to-go' offices and six education and business suites, hot-desking facilities and a consultation suite.

The Education and Business Suites have state of the art multi media facilities to suit Burnley's communities and developing businesses, and through No Limits partners business advice and support will be available.
