Helping Hands

Helping hands logoPennine Lancashire is full of people with great ideas about business, enterprise and other exciting projects. Through the Helping Hands programme you can help make these ideas a reality. Helping Hands will support you in creating, running and sustaining your own Community Enterprise Board, helping your community to help itself.

Each board is made up of a large number of local people from all walks of life who want to help those around them to succeed. As a board member you may be an employer, or you may be employed, or even self-employed or unemployed. Whoever you are, you can help make a difference to the lives of those around you.

Anyone living or working in Pennine Lancashire can join a Community Enterprise Board. A full-time Enterprise Facilitator is recruited and managed by each board to support its work.

Both boards and facilitators receive full training from the Helping Hands Partnership on how to set up, operate and sustain a Community Enterprise Board.
