Shooting Stars - Burnley and Accrington Stanley
With the help of top football clubs Burnley and Accrington Stanley, Shooting Stars gets young people to put on their thinking caps in a range of fun, business-related activities. Using football as a learning tool, it’s our aim to enhance entrepreneurial vision, ambition and employment options.
The project is open to anyone aged 7 to 30 in the Burnley, Pendle and Hyndburn area. Working with school and community groups, our team of highly qualified coaches uses sporting activities like football, dance and circus skills to raise individuals’ aspirations and self-esteem. Using the appeal of the professional football clubs to engage young people, each programme aims to help them achieve their full potential and get involved in enterprising initiatives. This joint Shooting Stars programme takes place at the grounds of both football clubs, venues that inspire real passion in local communities.
Shooting Stars increases:
